Privacy policy

Last updated: 24 October 2026

Hughes Electrical & Renewables is responsible for the personal information you provide when enquiring through this website. For privacy questions or requests, email gareth@ghugheselectrical.com or call 07593 949671.

Information you provide

When you enquire, we collect your name, email address, optional phone number, town or postcode, property type, the service you are interested in and your project description. We also receive information you choose to share when contacting us by phone or WhatsApp. Please only provide information needed to discuss the work.

How we use it

We use your information to respond, discuss your requirements, arrange a site visit and prepare a quote. When you ask us to take steps towards providing a service, our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, or performing that contract if you proceed.

For general enquiries and keeping the website secure, we rely on our legitimate interests in communicating with people who contact us and operating a secure service. We may also keep records where required to meet legal obligations. Enquiry details are not used to subscribe you to marketing.

Website and contact providers

Wix hosts this website and processes form submissions on our behalf. Authorised people helping to operate the website may access information where necessary for that work. We may disclose information where the law requires it. We do not sell enquiry information.

Wix and its service providers may process information outside the UK, using the safeguards described in Wix’s privacy policy. WhatsApp is an optional external contact service: following its link opens WhatsApp, where its own privacy terms apply. This site also loads its typeface from Google Fonts, which involves your browser connecting to Google’s servers.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to answer you and manage any resulting quote or work. We consider whether the enquiry is still active, whether you become a customer, and whether records are needed for accounting, legal obligations or resolving a dispute. Information no longer needed should be deleted securely.

Cookies and technical information

Hosting and security services may process technical information such as your IP address, browser details and requests to the website. Essential storage may be used to operate the website and its forms. We have not added advertising trackers or optional analytics to this design. If optional tracking is introduced, this policy and the relevant consent choices will be updated.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or receive a portable copy of information you have provided. Contact Gareth using the number above to make a request. We may need to verify your identity.

If you have a concern, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator.

Illustrative UK roof photographs: Installation of solar PV panels — panels in place by David Hawgood, and Rooftop solar panels in Caldicot by Jaggery. Both are used under CC BY-SA 2.0 and cropped to fit the page. These photographs illustrate services; they do not depict Hughes projects. The animated installation visual was AI-generated and supplied for this website. The interactive cutaway house, rural solar bungalow and domestic battery installation are also AI-generated illustrations.
